ECCO is an auditable web-based system for the management, administration, delivery and reporting of care, extra care and support services.

ECCO has been designed to record and evidence all the stages of delivering support or care to vulnerable clients against commissioner requirements. From application to exit, all interventions including referral, allocation, support, review, risk management and exit is captured and reported in real time. Being web-based enables support staff to work in the community and our offline feature allows uninterrupted access to the system even when the system is lost. The evidence gathered can be used to support a Social Return on Investment (Cost Benefit Analysis) report.

ECCO enables a client centred support plan to be configured to match the precise requirements of any organisation. Group activities, client wellbeing and all tangible outcomes are collected and reported on. Client history from application to exit shows any and all interventions and how they are delivered (phone, one to one, client review, group support, client survey etc). The system can be used to generate reports on activities that are not funded but can be used to support added value reports. Our hierarchical log-in feature enables client access to their personal support plan — either in a read-only capacity or to add comments. Clients or client families can access the system to comment on the service, take part in surveys and generally stay involved in the support delivery if the organisation wants to allow the access.

The client outcomes chosen by any provider will depend on the commissioner requirements therefore each service is configured according to the outcomes and interventions the commissioner is funding. Reports on successful interventions and work undertaken toward them is recorded and are available in real time.

ECCO is a platform that currently provide easy to use and effective auditable management, delivery and reporting solutions for organisations providing services in the home care, extra care, supported living/accommodation and community based support sectors. We currently work with Charities, the Not for Profit Sector, Private Enterprise, Local councils, and various statutory funded services. ECCO is based on a software mobile platform that allows it to be configured for each service to ensure that all outcomes and outputs are captured, and to record the specific methodology used. Developing browser technologies have enabled us to expand the scope of ECCO’s off-line capability. The end user does not have to login to an APP, but can continue working seamlessly when the WIFI signal is poor or non-existent. This means an organisation’s staff can work on smart phones and tablets etc. without a SIM card, giving large cost savings for those that might have hundreds of community-based employees.

Our customers are confident that their data is secure in light of ECCO’s sophisticated encryption technology. These developments have enabled organisations to adopt a BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) policy and so reduce expenditure on costly hardware.

We have been using ECCO software since 2012. Its clear graphical interface and intuitive work flow meant that ECCO was soon popular with our staff.

Our services include:

During that time ECCO has enabled us to, evidence the support we are giving, more effectively support our clients and win new contracts.

We currently contract with a variety of commissioners including (but not exclusively) Children in Need, Tudor Trust, Lloyds TSB Foundation, Tier 1 and Tier 2 local authorities plus others. From a management perspective it is difficult to see how we could have delivered our new services without it.

The potential efficiency savings are considerable as we have moved to a largely paperless system and our staff have been able to spend more time delivering outcomes with relevant information always to hand. We have, I believe more than covered the cost of the licence fee.

The price quoted will be a monthly or annual licence fee that includes everything: configuration changes, new services, installation, training, hosting and continuous online support. This makes it easy for financial accountability and budgeting as there are no additional charges.

Our senior staff have between them extensive experience of large scale web-based applications, the support services sector, and supported housing in particular. The company is established as a limited company in the United Kingdom and is funded and owned by its directors.

Colin Hamer

Chairman

Colin was for seven years Chairman of North Cheshire Health Authority. He has also been Chairman of the Cheshire and Wirral Training Consortium and Chairman of Opening Doors (a charity for the homeless and vulnerable). Previously he had been a director of large public and private companies. He has had many years’ experience of several large scale computer projects in the public and private sector.

Roy Kunar

Managing Director

Roy’s educational background is in Aeronautical Engineering at Imperial College where he gained his BSc and his PhD. Since leaving university, he has worked in computer modelling of physical and business processes and, for many years, as a consultant in the field of risk and safety management. The company that he started in 1988 was responsible for developing computer software for major insurance and reinsurance companies to price risks associated with major natural hazards. Roy also served as a non-executive director for a large housing association in the North West of England for 4 years. He has a passion for those that are in need of care and support and by joining the ECCO team, he brings this passion together with years of management, customer care and business experience.

Jo Eaton

Customer Accounts Manager

Jo studied at the University of Manchester gaining a BA degree in Criminology. Jo continued her education at Manchester Metropolitan University and was awarded an MA degree in Social Work and she qualified as a registered Social Worker. Jo went on to work for Refugee Action in Manchester and subsequently she joined the team at Creative Support before moving to ECCO.  Creative Support are a national charitable organisation. Jo gained invaluable experience in supporting vulnerable adults with mental health needs, learning and physical disabilities, autism and sensory support needs, and supporting older people through domiciliary and extra care services. Jo started as a Support Worker and progressed to being a Team Leader in mental health and learning disability services, then to a Quality Practitioner working across the whole range of services the organisation offers. Jo finished her time with Creative Support as a Business Development Manager, with a particular focus on the implementation of online systems. She has overseen the roll out of several online systems for the organisation, including rostering and electronic call monitoring, care management systems and referral monitoring systems.

Adam Hamer

Software Development Director

Adam graduated from Sheffield University in 2002 with both a B.Eng and M.Eng in software engineering. For his Masters degree he specialised in advanced web site design. He subsequently worked as a volunteer in a charity for the homeless before taking a post with a company in London which developed software for Supporting People stakeholders. Software development has always been Adam’s passion and he was responsible for the initial concept of ECCO and directing its subsequent development into an innovative product that meets the detailed needs of the markets we serve.

Hayley Evans

Customer Technical Support

Hayley joined ecco solutions ltd in an administrative role in 2012 and served as a personal assistant to the directors. Because of her technical ability, enthusiasm for the ECCO software and the training she received, she is now responsible for customer technical support.  Hayley has an in-depth knowledge of ECCO and manages Zendesk, Ecco’s web-based ticketed support system. She is also responsible for the configuration of ECCO for specific services and needs as requested by our customers.

Neale Upstone

Technical Director

Neale is a Cambridge University graduate in Electrical and Information Sciences. He has been a consultant with OpenCredo in London (international experts in Spring framework web-based applications) and has extensive experience of large scale software applications in the UK, USA, and Canada. His innovative and creative ability has been the source of the many of the distinguishing features that has made ECCO a market leader.
