ECCO is an auditable web-based management information system for the delivery and reporting of care and support services
ECCO has been designed to record and evidence all the stages of delivering support or care to vulnerable clients against commissioner requirements. From application to exit, all interventions including referral, allocation, support, review, risk management and exit is captured and reported in real time. Being web-based enables support staff to work in the community and our offline feature allows uninterrupted access to the system even when the system is lost. The evidence gathered can be used to support a Social Return on Investment (Cost Benefit Analysis) report.
ECCO enables a client centred support plan to be configured to match the precise requirements of any organisation. Group activities, client wellbeing and all tangible outcomes are collected and reported on. Client history from application to exit shows any and all interventions and how they are delivered (phone, one to one, client review, group support, client survey etc). The system can be used to generate reports on activities that are not funded but can be used to support added value reports. Our hierarchical log-in feature enables client access to their personal support plan — either in a read-only capacity or to add comments. Clients or client families can access the system to comment on the service, take part in surveys and generally stay involved in the support delivery if the organisation wants to allow the access.
The client outcomes chosen by any provider will depend on the commissioner requirements therefore each service is configured according to the outcomes and interventions the commissioner is funding. Reports on successful interventions and work undertaken toward them is recorded and are available in real time
what is ECCO?
ECCO is web-based software is built to facilitate the management, reporting, and evidencing of any support or care service delivered by any organisation. We currently work with Charities, the Not for Profit Sector, Private Enterprise, and various statutory funded services. ECCO is based on a software platform that allows it to be configured for each service to ensure that all outcomes and outputs are captured, and to record the specific methodology used. The software is currently being used by over 250 different services supporting more than 7,500 clients. Some of the services include:
- learning disabled
- all services for the aging population
- mental health, including forensic mental health
- physical health
- acquired brain injury
- domestic violence
- complex needs
- domiciliary care
- training, skills development, and work-related activities
- youth homeless
- care leavers
ECCO core features
ECCO can be configured to meet a wide range of service requirements including:
- needs assessment
- risk assessment
- threat management
- support plan
- star plan
- customer surveys
Developing browser technologies have enabled us to expand the scope of ECCO’s off-line capability. The end user does not have to login to an APP, but can continue working seamlessly when the WIFI signal is poor or non-existent. This means an organisation’s staff can work on smart phones and tablets etc. without a SIM card, giving large cost savings for those that might have hundreds of community-based employees.
Our customers are confident that their data is secure in light of ECCO’s sophisticated encryption technology. These developments have enabled organisations to adopt a BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) policy and so reduce expenditure on costly hardware.

what ECCO users say…
We have been using ECCO software now for twelve months. ECCO software’ s clear graphical interface and intuitive work flow meant that ECCO was soon popular with our staff. Our services include: • Housing Related Floating Support Service • Housing Advice Service • Single Access Point for 16/17 year olds (following the Southwark Judgement) • talk²sort (Mediation Service) During that time ECCO has enabled us to, evidence the support we are giving, more effectively support our clients and win new contracts. We currently contract with a variety of commissioners including (but not exclusively) Children in Need, Tudor Trust, Lloyds TSB Foundation, Tier 1 and Tier 2 local authorities plus others. From a management perspective it is difficult to see how we could have delivered our new services without it. The potential efficiency savings are considerable as we have moved to a largely paperless system and our staff have been able to spend more time delivering outcomes with relevant information always to hand. We have, I believe more than covered the cost of the licence fee.Paul Snape
ecco staff ensured the software worked for us, and as a consequence we are confident we will remain at the forefront of service delivery. Our use of the software will support future bids as ECCO seems well able to cope with the ever changing government agenda. Furthermore ECCO has enabled us to use the latest developments in internet based technology.Debbie Szydlowski
After our evaluation process we had no difficulty in deciding to use ecco solutions software for our Individual Support services. ecco was our first choice supplier and system when comparing each against one another. ECCO is user friendly and has a great visual look. Our customers felt they could be more involved in their support plan, even completing the details themselves on the system. ECCO has an intuitive work flow and appears well able to support future requirements such as personalisation. As the system collates information this will make producing evidence/statistics/outcomes much easier and the possibility of linking up with relevant services through the system (Supporting People, Local Authorities, Referring Agencies) will simplify multi agency working. We are impressed by the people at ecco. They have expertise in the supported housing market, are able to interpret our needs and talk in plain English.
We had used ECCO for over two years to support delivery of our Employment Support Service and Travel Training Service, however our new Managing Director who had previous web-based system experience wanted to introduce an electronic system throughout all services. After much research and discussion with ecco and other organisations, the decision to roll ECCO out was made. This was due the flexible nature of the system, the ability to add or remove services with little notice and even change the flow and outcomes collected.Hannah Navarro
